Head of Crewing Department
Function
As a Head of the crewing department, your role involves translating the company's strategic goals into specific, actionable objectives for the crewing department. This requires a clear understanding of both the broader company strategy and the day-to-day operations within the crewing department.
The crewing department within GEOxyz is responsible for:
- Personnel planning of all offshore and onshore activities
- Organization of crew changes and related accommodation and travel for all vessels
- Organization of nearshore site-offices and related accommodation and travel
- Organization of people related work permits and visa procedures to support international operation activities
- Negotiate with staffing agencies and third-party suppliers and oversee their performance, ensuring the quality of service and adherence to agreements.
Your role as the Head of crewing department :
- Create the overall department strategy in a fast-changing environment to ensure an optimal planning in a sustainable and cost-effective way.
- Develop and maintain clear and detailed department procedures.
- Oversee planning of crew and operations to guarantee optimal performance.
- Manage the team, including setting objectives, regular feedback and performance reviews.
- Advise on compliance with offshore and maritime working regulations and permits, including environmental and safety standards.
- Promote and ensure data-driven decision-making within the department.
- Make sure the crewing department is represented in operational meeting and act as a key liaison with stakehold
Profile
- You have minimally 7 years of relevant experience in crew planning in the offshore industry or equivalent.
- You obtained a masters degree in a relevant field.
- You possess strong talent for people management and having excellent decision-making skills.
- You have the ability to effectively manage operational demands and changes.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
